Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) delivered a speech on campus on October 26, 1967. We have an audio recording of the event. If a class or individual comes to the Archives, they can listen to the speech, but it cannot leave the Archives. Please contact archives@sju.edu to schedule an appointment. The entire recording is a little over 1 hour, and includes introductions, the speech, and Q&As.

There is a transcript of the recording that can be shared with SJU faculty, with some restrictions. Please contact archives@sju.edu for more information.

There are photographs from the event in the Saint Joseph's University Historic Photograph Collection.

There is no video of the event; video cameras were not common in 1967.
